Whatever the reason, when it's time do a property update, it's helpful to get professional advice as you start to prioritize your action list and purchase items.
Home buyers are more sophisticated than ever today because they're used to seeing updated properties on HGTV. They often expect a high level of design and comfort and will look online to cross off properties they don't think will work before stepping out the door. So, it's crucial to create a fantastic first impression...initially with great photos, and then during your actual home tour. Home staging has been proven effective at getting buyers in the door and inspiring them to make an offer.
I enjoy taking property photos at the end of each project. After I've spent time making a home look inviting, it's in everyone's best interest to make sure the photographs show off its best features.
For example, when my parents sold their home several years ago, their agent took some photos and posted them online. But, he didn't open up the curtains on their large picture window overlooking the city, so their living room looked dark and uninviting. And, no-one would have guessed that their deck also looked out over a beautiful garden... until l rephotographed several areas. Selling your home is a big endeavor. Why leave those important details to chance?
